The ISO 18788 Mali project represents a significant milestone in strengthening governance and operational security at an international level.
ISO 18788 is today the leading reference for security operations management systems, providing a structured framework to ensure ethics, transparency, respect for human rights, and effective risk management in both public and private contexts. Through this standard, organizations operating in complex or high-risk areas can demonstrate compliance with globally recognized principles, including those of the United Nations, ICoCA, and the Montreux Document.
The project, coordinated by CMG Swiss in collaboration with local experts, involved all operational areas of the company: security personnel management, mission planning, contract oversight, and environmental and social risk assessment. The goal was to build an integrated Management System capable of safeguarding fundamental rights, client security, and personnel protection through codified procedures, periodic audits, and a continuous improvement plan.
