Corporate communication
Nel mio ultimo articolo ho affrontato un tema che considero centrale per il successo di qualsiasi organizzazione: la comunicazione d’impresa.
In my latest article, I addressed a topic I consider central to the success of any organization: corporate communication. Too often it is reduced to a simple operational tool, but the truth is that communication is a structural and strategic element, capable of determining the quality of both internal and external relationships and, with them, the sustainability and competitiveness of the entire business system. International standards confirm this as well. The main ISO standards place communication among the pillars of management systems, recognizing its active role in building a solid and coherent organizational culture. When standards speak about communication, they inevitably speak about people. Because it is people who bring processes to life, generate value, and make every result possible. Processes do not function on their own: they are driven, supported, and improved by the quality of the relationships that surround them. I have often asked myself what the true objective of corporate communication should be. My answer is clear: to create and spread a genuine sense of belonging. An organization communicates effectively when its members feel heard, involved, and valued. When communication is fluid, transparent, and respectful, people not only participate, but take responsibility, express ideas, and solve problems. Silence, on the other hand, is fertile ground for misunderstanding, mistrust, and fragmentation. It hinders growth, weakens bonds, and impoverishes corporate culture. For this reason, I firmly believe that communication cannot be delegated. It must start from leadership—those who have the duty and responsibility to guide the organization. It is leadership’s role to create an environment in which people feel free to express themselves, to propose, to disagree, and to build. Only in this way can communication become a true tool for cohesion, evolution, and excellence. Weak or inconsistent communication, on the contrary, can deeply undermine the credibility and effectiveness of the entire business system. In an increasingly complex and interconnected world, communicating well is no longer an option. It is a necessity. Kind regards, Cindy Martine Grasso
