ISO Standards for Achieving Success
Oggi voglio affrontare un tema spesso sottovalutato: il reale valore delle norme ISO per conseguire il successo.

Good morning and welcome back to this new edition of Editor’s Picks. Today I want to tackle a topic that is often underestimated: the real value of ISO standards in achieving success. There are still those who, lightly or cynically, claim they are useless. And how many times, unfortunately, I have seen people willing to believe it. I, on the other hand, have seen the exact opposite happen. If we want to achieve concrete results – whether it’s increased revenue, improved reputation, or surpassing a performance target – we must stop doing the same things over and over and expecting different outcomes. We need a method. We need discipline. We need a system. This is why ISO standards, when approached correctly, are far from bureaucracy. They are tools for transformation. They are a practical guide to continuous improvement. Of course, sometimes it’s necessary to improvise, follow your intuition, react in the moment. But in most cases, what truly drives change is the ability to plan, do, check, act – and then start again. That virtuous cycle – Plan-Do-Check-Act – really works if applied consciously. And it works even better when clear, ambitious, yet achievable goals are set. Real goals. Because if you use the management system solely to obtain a certificate, then yes, you won’t improve. You’re aiming only for a piece of paper. The secret is to prioritize the objectives that generate change. Those that transform processes, people, and organizational culture. This applies to all ISO standards – from Quality to Safety, from Environment to Information Security. Ultimately, ISO standards for achieving success do exist. But success comes only if we are willing to use them as a guide, not as an obligation. So I ask you: are you still willing to believe that success cannot be achieved through ISO standards? 📌 If you want to discover how to turn Management Systems into a real growth engine, visit the website for new insights. 👉 Click here.
