In Italy, however, many professions are still unregulated and, among these, the role of Compliance Manager also falls within this category\u2014an essential figure in governance systems but, until recently, without a clear regulatory framework.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we can finally rely on an important reference point: the UNI 11883:2022 standard, developed by the UNI technical group dedicated to organizational governance. This document clearly defines competencies, roles, and responsibilities, providing clarity for both professionals and companies.<\/p>\n<p>The standard distinguishes three levels:<\/p>\n<p>Compliance Technician, with operational functions supporting middle management.<\/p>\n<p>Compliance Specialist, with a tactical-managerial role, involved in the design and implementation of management systems.<\/p>\n<p>Compliance Manager, with strategic responsibilities, interacting with top management and governing bodies.<\/p>\n<p>This approach is fully aligned with European and international frameworks (EQF, NQF, ISO 17024), enhancing learning outcomes and facilitating the global recognition and certification of competencies.<\/p>\n<p>In my work, which involves interaction with organizations across Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Central America, I experience daily how essential it is to have a role that combines technical expertise, ethics, systemic vision, and relational skills.
